Haul+Review-Nyx Ombre Lips

Haul1

A few things I’ve purchased before and just needed to buy again because I was running out.

Starting from the top…

Avocado sheet mask from Ulta

MAC Studio Fix powder (re-purchase)

MAC Pressed pigments in Smoky and Amethyst

Wet and Wild Brush cleansing wipes (Pretty excited to try these out)

NYX Ombre Lip Duo in Poppy/Lily

L’oreal Infallible Super Slim felt tip liner pen (re-purchase)

MAC lip liners in Cherry and Kiss Me Quick

MAC lipstick in MAC Red (re-purchase)

MAC Fluidlines in Ivy and Shade

NYX lip pencil in Beige

Two Real Techniques brushes (shadow and highlighter brush)

Random Ardell Lashes

and not pictured, the #159 MAC Duo Fiber Blush brush

What I’m reviewing in this blog post, is the NYX Ombre Lip Duo.  This was a total impulse buy while I was standing in a much too long of a line at Ulta and I am SO glad I decided to pick it up, so much so, that I think I’m going to go back and get the rest of the colors that they have in stock.  It cost $11.99 at Ulta and on the NYX website.   These Ombre Lip Duos come in a total of 12 color variations but Ulta only had 3 or 4 of the 12 in stock.  Boo!

The color pay off is amazing.  It’s a gorgeous color.  It’s very creamy and not at all drying and best of all, it has an awesome wear-life.  Below is a picture of when I first finished my makeup and the picture on the right is 5 hours later, after I had been running errands, eating, stopping at Starbucks for a much needed iced coffee and doing a million other things.  I never touched it up.  In fact, I purposefully left the NYX duo on my vanity so I wouldn’t even be tempted to touch it up.  Next time I will go over the outline a little heavier so there is more of an ombre effect.  Overall, I think this product is well worth it and you should definitely check it out.  If you’ve tried it let me know what you think!!
